When you get a work confirmation from your Qatari employer and want to switch jobs, your first step is to obtain a work visa. Qatar Work Residence Permit (RP) applicants must follow a step-by-step procedure.
The Qatar Ministry of Interior (MoI) has facilitated visa applications for Indian residents, Bangladeshi residents, Pakistani residents, Nepalese residents, Sri Lankan residents, and Filipino residents. In this regard, 17 Qatar Visa Centers (QVC) have been established in the 6 countries mentioned above.
What is the Qatar Visa Center (QVC)?
The majority of the immigration process will be completed outside Qatar, as QVC Qatar provides support for online and in-person visa applications. The Qatar Visa Center (QVC) provides a variety of services to the Qatari government, including the recording of biometric data, fingerprinting, scheduling medical examinations, and signing employment contracts.
Here are some of the main reasons why QVC was founded:
- Biometrics and confirmed and approved medical reports, among others, will be reduced by Qatar’s governmental authorities.
- The employee only needs to sign the contract after visiting Qatar and obtain a work-residential permit as soon as possible to speed up the visa process.
- When medical reports did not meet the QVC’s criteria, the employer had to pay extra expenses to send the employee back to work.
Visa Offered by QVC
Work Yearly Residence
It is also known as a work visa or a permanent visa that needs to be your Qatar Visa renewed every year. Applicants remain in Qatar for the period it takes for their visa to be renewed by their employers.
This visa is processed by your employer, who also pays the medical fee to the Qatar Ministry of Interior. Once the work appointment letter is issued by the employer, take that letter to QVC Qatar to complete the visa process. The Qatar government’s services will be available to you as soon as you get the visa.
Services Offered by QVC
QVC provides visa applicants with the following services:
- Biometrics or fingerprints
- Medical tests and reports
- The signing of the work contract (the work visa)

Moreover, Qatar Visa Check and printouts can be obtained directly from the Qatar Ministry of Interior website.
Who Requires Biometric or Finger Prints?

What is the Best Way To Book QVC Appointment?

The Qatar government plans to expand QVC’s network to other countries in the future, including Morocco, Ethiopia, Tunisia, and Kenya.
